Challah

In a previous post, I mentioned that I had made Challah. The recipe made two loaves. (As made obvious in the photos, I am still mastering my bread-braiding techniques!) I must say, the bread was absolutely delicious!

I would definitely recommend you try making this bread...your family will thank you! :) HERE is a recipe for it. It isn't the exact recipe I used (as the one I have is in a recipe book)...but it is similar. I hope you will give it a try....it really is delicious! **If you do, make sure you come back and let me know how it turned out!!**

Warmly,
Katy

  3. We love challah bread. I made some around Easter this year and it is probably the tastiest bread I've made. My family doesn't eat a lot of bread, so I don't get to make bread all the time. I need to find people to give bread to because I love to make it! The challah is extra fun because of the braiding. It sure makes a lovely loaf to give away. :)

  4. Katy- can you please email me. I have got some things that I would love to mail to you. I promise that I am not a cyber stalker or anything... just a couple of books that I am hoping that you can use. I found them while cleaning out a friend's spare room and thought first of you.

  6. I want to try this! I will admit that the braiding is a little intimidating.

  11. This has nothing to do with challah bread. But I have been reading your blog for a few weeks now and I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy it. So real and so sweet. I was in tears when you talked about your husband being baptized. I could feel your happy heart across the computer screen and I was so happy right along with you! I have no clue how I happened across your blog but I am thankful I did! God bless you and yours. Just wanted to tell you how sweet your words and pictures are and how encouraging they are to me : )
