Beautiful Days of Autumn

Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile.

Mmm, the sweetness of fall...the smell of the air changes, do you notice that? I wish I could bottle it. No candle or spray can quite capture that perfect scent (although some do come close!).

Everyone must take time to sit
and watch the leaves turn.

The clothes, out on the line, soak in that wonderful smell and the sunshine...

I cannot endure to waste anything as precious as autumn sunshine by staying in the house.
So I spend almost all the daylight hours in the open air.

Even my Ruthers enjoys the sunshine...

Although many hours are spent playing out-of-doors...time also must be spent indoors, doing schoolwork and housework...

Madelyn (above) and Xavier (below) working on some of their schoolwork. For anyone new that is visiting, and wants to know, for the majority of our work, we use Christian Light Education (however, we don't use it exclusively. We use other things for Science and History!).

Jaxson, finished with his schoolwork for the day, sits in the living room looking at books while I work with the other two children...

My stack of teacher's books, planners and the like...

In the kitchen, I stay busy with dishes and preparing meals...

Daily reads...

October is a symphony of permanence and change.

I finished a new dish cloth and it is now listed in my shop!

I'm excited, for today I get to see Eloise! It's been a few weeks since I have gotten to see her cheerful face! I had been sick for a bit, and didn't want to pass it on to her. It has been quite torture, as she is so much fun to be around! :) Today my sister and she are coming to town and we are getting to meet with them! I am just *sure* that Eloise has missed her Aunt Katy as much as I have missed her! ;)

The children and I need to finish working on our schooling so we can have time today to *visit* with Devon and El! So I better get movin'! You have a great day! :)

Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
