Egg Hunting We Will Go.....

So...the snow melted here in PA....but it was still pretty cold out. Our church planned a big Easter egg hunt at one of our church member's house. She has a large house....so they hid all 500 eggs inside! There were ALOT of kids there and they all had a fantastic time!!!

The downstairs of their house was for the little ones to find eggs (in places they could reach)...Perfect for Jaxson and many other little kiddos!

Then the main floor was for kids 4 yrs through 1st grade....so Xavier and Madelyn were looking on this level of the house....

At the end...all the kids got to open their eggs and they all received a lot of candy....but **also** there were some *special* eggs with things in them such as a little donkey, a crown of thorns, 3 nails etc. Those incorporated into the wonderful gospel of Jesus! It was great! Most of the kids there already knew the story of Jesus...but it was still great to tie it in with the egg hunt and review it all with the kids. :) We all know that Easter isn't about bunnies and eggs...it's about the selflessness of a Savior who died for us and rose again!

And.... to be added to my etsy shoppe today.....a knitted camera pouch!

Hope you all have an enjoyable Thursday! :) Thanks so much for coming by!!!

  1. It looks like the kids had a great time! We've done this idea before as well - candy in the eggs but special ones with the pieces from the Resurrection Story. We had our egg numbered so each child with a numbered egg knew when it was his turn to show his piece.

    Happy Easter!
