The Results are In...

The results came back from my blood work and ultrasound (about my gall bladder). I do not have stones and my blood work looked good (just showed I am dehydrated...thankfully, an easy fix). There is another test to test the functionality of my gall bladder. If it isn't functioning well...I *still* may need to have it removed. We have a high deductible with our insurance and are paying for all these tests out of pocket. Chris and I decided to wait until/if I have another attack before going ahead to pay for another scan. I am hoping and praying the attacks just stop. I have been avoiding meat like the plague! The only "meat" I have eaten is turkey bacon...well, and eggs. Are eggs counted as meat? Hmm...?

If you are praying for me, thank-you! I truly appreciate it! We'll see what happens over time. Luckily, between attacks I am doing just I function pretty normally until one hits. *Maybe* I won't have another? Who knows but God? :) Like I have said before, I am pretty confident knowing my life is in His hands and not my own!

In other news, life has been continuing on here much as it always has. Schooling, cleaning, playing, laughter, tears, joy, frustrations, prayer, reading, knitting, organizing ... all the things that when added together equal my life. :) Ups and downs and all-arounds.

We have been getting a lot of rain we have been watching the Star Wars movies through Netflix. We watch one, send it back and then they send us the next one. We love make believe and imaginations. We diligently teach our children the Word and the truth of Christ...and they know that life is not about "the force" or any such nonsense like that. We just enjoy creativity in movies. My mom bought the boys these masks....oh how they love wearing them...especially my Jaxson (aka: Darth Vader)...

Washing the floors is a much nicer task when done with Mrs. Meyer's basil multi-purpose cleaner. Just mix a little of it with warm water in a bucket (isn't this one from Mrs. Meyer's GREAT?)...mix it into some great big soapy suds and scrub!

I am not the only candle-lover in this family. Madelyn lit candles the other evening...I love the atmosphere they create (in looks and scent)...

I found Madelyn this new-to-us skirt. She loves it...

Doesn't she look so lovely in it? She is growing up much-too-quickly. I am so glad she enjoys dressing feminine as much as I do!

And now I must's bed time. Tomorrow, I will rise bright and early to go to spin then we have a busy day ahead with our last day of our homeschool co-op year. I'm yawning and ready to snuggle between the sheets with a good book (which will only last for a few minutes before I fall asleep!).

I hope your weekend was a good one! Thanks for your comments and emails. I enjoy each one. Please never feel like you are bothering me when you drop me a line through my email! I love corresponding with you!

I will leave you with this quote to chew on...

“Radical obedience to Christ is not easy... It's not comfort, not health, not wealth, and not prosperity in this world. Radical obedience to Christ risks losing all these things. But in the end, such risk finds its reward in Christ. And he is more than enough for us.”

Have a great week ahead!

  1. A lady from my church dealt with similar pain on and off for almost a year. She had the classic symptoms of gall bladder problems but hers ended up being a stomach ulcer. Maybe something to check into.....

  2. We will continue in prayer for your complete physical healing. If possible, please keep us updated on your progress.

  3. Sorry to hear about the medical issues! Love your attitude though!

  4. He is more than enough! I agree!

I pray that you will have no more trouble health wise.

  5. Madelyn is becoming such a beautiful young lady. You must be very proud. I love the skirt!

I am always so grateful to read your comments! I thank you for the time you took to visit and share your thoughts with me. :o)
