Homestead Blessings

I am so excited! I love The West Ladies and have always wanted to get their Homestead Blessings DVDs. They have DVDs covering the art of bread making, candle making, soap making, gardening, sewing, canning etc. I have watched different trailers for them and have hoped to get a few of them, at some time. Well, I was thrilled when I got an email telling me that Franklin Springs is having a sale *for this week only* for all 10 Homestead Blessings DVDs for $99!!! That's 50% off! I was so excited to hear this, because previously, I had considered buying a three-pack of them for $50! This was *all ten* for $99!!!

So...I hurried down to Chris and asked if it was OK with him if I would spend that amount of money. Normally, that's a lot of money to us...but for these DVDs it was a *huge* deal! Chris agreed and I started doing a bit of a jig in the living room! (I know.... embarrassing....but that's OK...I was so excited!) So...I ordered the Ten-Pack and am anxiously awaiting their arrival!

Do you have any of these DVDs? If so, which ones? And which ones are your favorites? Ack...I am just so so excited! :) Thanks so much for coming over for a visit and sharing in my excitement with me!

***And...Madelyn is coming home from Massachusetts today!!!! :) I have missed her so much and can't wait to see her!!! :) Please pray for a safe trip home for my aunt, my mom and Madelyn as they make the 8+ hour journey home!!! Thank you! :)

  1. I've never heard of these, but you'll have to post about them or tell me about them! They sound wonderful and like something I bet my dad would like to purchase (plus that's a bonus for me because he lives right next door) :)!

I enjoyed your homeschooling post below too! Have fun planning!

    Have a great day!

  6. Congrats Katy on the videos. I think I may have seen their candlemaking one on the RFD channel, I had recorded it on the dvr, but they don't let you keep them for very long and I don't knbow how to transfer to a computer. I would just rather do like you and have the whole nicly put together boxed set. What a blessing to have and to watch these with your family.

I am also very excited to share with you my new discovery.
I was browsing around our new store called Menards and I discovered a industrial strength magic sponge. I found it in the paint department. It is really for cleaning mortoe off of bricks, but it looks like a suede cleaning sponge that I had bought in a western store. It is huge, weighs about 6ozs, I swear and it doesn't crunble away. I used it on my cabinets and it did just as good as the magic erasers did.

Hope you like them to, just thought I would share.

    Blessing to all,
    Shanda
