"It's spring fever...

...You don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!"
~Mark Twain

May happenings in our little corner of the world...

My musical boys...

You can hear them play on my youtube channel HERE.

I won a giveaway from the Fisher Cat Fiber Co. This is the beautiful rug I won...

Lemon Mint candles are perfect being burned in spring...

Making rolls for supper...

Using flowers to decorate around our home...

Madelyn and Xavier went to mow at Grammie and Pop-Pop's house....so Jaxson and I went to our favorite greenhouse and got flowers to plant together! You can see my hosta growing to the left there too (I *love* hosta)....

Out on the fence (my holders have seen better days...but the flowers are pretty!)...

Lovely, growing, beautiful hosta....

The hosta around my lamp post is continuing to grow beautifully! I can't wait to see how lovely it looks when it is all filled in...

This is a flower that Jaxson picked out on his own. He is going to tend to it completely...

I always love planting flowers in crocks...

*Twice* I have tried planting Clematis vines to climb my arch/arbor. Both times, they died and never came back. This year, I bought a Wisteria vine. I have high hopes for this hardy plant to grow and cover that arch beautifully...

Jax filled a bird bath....

....and a chicken stopped by for a drink...

That tile/brick on the garage is just awful. I have scrubbed it and it still looks filthy like this...almost like it is stained. I'm not quite sure what else to do to make it look nice....so I just work at using flowers, mulch and pretty things to beautify the area as much as I can....

Do you have spring fever? What have you been doing on these lovely spring days? Are you planting flowers? I'd love to hear all about it!

Thanks so much for coming by!
Warmly,
Katy :)

  4. Beautiful Katy! Especially like the flowers planted in the crocks. My flowers are almost all in and my next project is scraping and painting the back porch. Always a busy season. :)

  5. Hi Katy, lovely pictures, it is now easier for me to leave comments and write my blog as we have a new computer. Today I also worked in the garden, we have a little corner that I am going to give a bit of a makeover, I must remember not to rush this project and do a little bit at a time. I also have a wisteria, its 3 years old now and I think I remember someone telling me to give it lots of water in the first year, please research this as I do not want to give you wrong information. Best wishes :)
