My mom and I had gone to Big Lots the other day and found a GREAT deal on a gazebo!!! It is fantastic and will work perfectly for M's birthday party in July. (We are doing a luah theme) I hope to get some lounge chairs and a nice table for in there...sometime. Gotta wait for the perfect price! Chris and I put it together the other night! :)
Then, below, is a picture of the old tray I painted with blackboard paint. I have it hanging in my kitchen! It will be a good place for quick notes etc! I am really happy with how it turned out! Now I just need to finish the blackboard window (for homeschooling) that I showed
HERE.

I made two posts today...this one and
the one before this. I hope you will check them both out!!! Have a GREAT day!!! xoxo
Great job on the tray. I love the old window chalkboard. Very creative!
ReplyDeleteThat looks great Katy!!What a great idea to use a tray!I never thought of that and what a perfect look for the kitchen!!I hope you are having a wonderful holiday with your family today!!
ReplyDeleteCute stuff!! One of my girl's favorite thing to do is draw on the chalkboard/wipeboard that I bought at IKEA!! Thanks for sharing. Julie
ReplyDeleteWOOOHOOOO!! I am heading to Big Lots!! I've been looking for something similar. We have a teensy tiny back porch- not big enough for a group picnic. I would love something with a little more room so that at least the adults could be in the shade!! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this!

Great gazebo. I would like one for our deck! It gets a lot of sunshine. Your new chalkboard looks great!
ReplyDeletelooks great! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your gazebo, Katy! That looks like a great place to hang out! Hey, that would make a great place to do some of your schoolwork in....who says it has to be in the school room all the time? I can picture you snuggled up with the kids reading in there, especially in the fall and spring!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Tammy

ReplyDeleteYou sure have been busy, Katy! Glad to hear that everything is going so well. Can't wait to see your finished product!
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific week :)
Hi Katy, I love your new gazebo, I saw it in the Big Lots here. Nice tray too, you'll be surprised at the many uses you can find for things meant to be other things. Deb
ReplyDeleteTotally cute! I'm gonna have to try this!
ReplyDeleteAnd your blog looks adorable! I like the new look. But I liked the old look too! And the older look too! LOL! Very cute though!
Love the chalk board, Katy!
ReplyDeleteVery neat idea!
By the way... it's hard to keep chickens out of the garden- my little strawberries are history thanks to my little banty hen and rooster! They eat every one of them! :(
Hey Katy,
ReplyDeleteSuch cute ideas and love the gazebo!
Blessings, Rondell
Love the tray girl! I also like how your blog looks. I've tried doing mine with my graphics. I love graphics and have bought tons over the years. I just can't get them to blogger. I've tried all kinds of websites that help and show you how but it doesn't work for me. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThat is a clever idea...I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove your gazebo too, it looks huge!
Love, Tina :)
Hi, Katy! (I have been away for a couple weeks ...without internet access...YIKES! So I am just now getting to go back through all my favorite blog stops to read up on what I missed!) I love this chalkboard tray -- great job! I bought a decorative chalkboard the other day...but I've been wanting to make my own with a tray that I have. A luau themed party sounds fun! Are you carrying it through with the food too?
