Janet's Planet

Have you or your children ever seen Janet's Planet? I never have before (but the children say they have). We were given the chance to watch one of her movies on MicroGravity! As a homeschooling mama, I like to add things from time-to-time to our book work (to make things more interesting). I was glad for this fun opportunity.

The video was absolutely *full* of information...so much so that I almost felt I should be taking notes! Janet, the speaker throughout, is lively, energetic and fun! You can tell she has a love for science (along with a bit of history thrown in there)! It offered lots of fun illustrations and visual examples to help children (and adults) understand what they are teaching!

From Janet Ivey:
"For the past decade, science education has been my passion and America's children have been my inspiration. It is incredible to see how excited children can become about the world around them when the information is presented in an accessible and fun way. That is the mission of Janet's Planet, and I look forward to continuing to support better science education in the years to come."

I definitely think this video would be a fantastic addition to a science curriculum for homeschooling (or for children learning in public school as well!). If you want to find out more about Janet's Planet you can find them here: Website, Facebook, Twitter, Blog.

Also, for fun, they have kindly allowed me to offer a copy of this DVD to one of you! :)
