The Sweetest Surprise!

The kidlets had been quite stinkery today...drove me pretty batty...LOL. So, this evening after supper...for a breather, I went to my aunt's home and garden party and chatted it up with friends. It was really nice. I just got home about half and hour ago...and when i walked in....THIS is what i see hanging in the big doorway:

Isn't it absolutely beautiful!!!??? I just love it and plan on leaving it hang there for a bit. It was such a wonderful sweet surprise! I just have to say...I LOVE my family! <3
Hope you all sleep well! Tomorrow's post (Friday) is going to be good...at least, I hope. It will be about Proverbs and how it is a guide to successful living! ;) Hope you will come back and share your thoughts with me! night! xoxo

A Mission Trip to Romania!

A group from our church is going on a mission trip to Romania in June. We have a family that attends our church that is from there and is going to take the group over. They will be building a church as well as visiting an orphanage to help at. It is a 10 day mission trip...and although I would love to go...especially to help at the orphanage...those sweet children....I could never leave my kids for 10 days....that would just be WAY too difficult. However....when they announced the trip...my husband felt the push to go. He has never been away from us that long before....but I really believe God is calling him to go. We have prayed about it and continue to pray about it!

We have to raise at least $1,000 for him to go. I know we can do it...and I am not worried because I know God provides! :) We will be participating in fund raisers with our church and doing some extra work that we can to earn it. Also....my sister has really cute mittens and pottery and things for sale at her etsy shop. And from what she sells, she is donating 10% to Chris's mission trip fund. Every little bit helps and I appreciate her support! (So go check out her stuff...you may find something awesome to have for yourself and in the meantime be supporting my hubby's mission trip!)

I am 100% supporting my husband on this and am super excited for him. I am excited for everything they will be doing in Romania and the lives that they will touch for Jesus! I ask for prayer for us on this...I have never been away from chris for that long before..and it will be hard for us. However, the blessings totally outweigh the negatives! God hears His people and every prayer sent up is really appreciated by both Chris and I. Thanks so much! :)

Praise and Worship

I LOVE praise and worship time. I love to just sing to my heavenly father. (i do NOT have a good singing voice...but I don't think He minds!) LOL One of my favorite things to do during the day is turn on some praise and worship music and just sing out to the Lord while doing my housework, dishes or folding laundry etc. It makes my time soo valuable and meaningful. I really really enjoy it! AND...as a bonus, a lot of the times, my kids will come in and sing and dance along with it as well. There is nothing better for a child to hear than love and praise being sung to our Lord! :)

Some different artists I love to listen to for P and W music are: Jeremy Camp, Third Day, Todd Agnew, Michael W. Smith, Rebecca St. James, the WOW worship music CDs, Point of Grace....oh gosh, i am sure there are a few I am forgetting! LOL But I have to say...spending time in praise and worship really improves the quality of your day! And hearing my kids sing some of the songs just randomly through the day really blesses me.

You know, I don't put P and W music on everyday....I get busy or just don't turn it on...but I think I am going to try to make sure I get some in EVERY day...I think it is a daily dose of love that I need to be giving to our Maker! So....I would love to hear how you have praise and worship and what artists or songs you like! Please share with me!!! :)

Dave Ramsey

"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money." Matthew 6:24

"People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." 1 Timothy 6:9-10

Have you heard of Financial Peace University? It is hosted by Dave Ramsey. It is a 13 week course set up to get you out of debt (it is a GREAT course even if you don't have any debt though). It teaches you how to manage your money in a way that is pleasing to God. HERE is an overview of the 13 lessons (one a week). We just finished up our 13th class last evening at our church. It was awesome. Of all the lessons...the last one is my favorite.

Everything we have belongs to God....we are to be good stewards of the things (and money) we are given or earn. We shouldn't be in debt. We shouldn't be needing a ton of material things. Financial hardships are one of the biggest reasons that couples get divorced. Being on the road to fiancial freedom can not only bring peace for you financially...but it can save your marriage as well. What a blessing! I encourage EVERYONE to check this program out. My husband and I weren't even in a lot of debt...but we learned sooo much from this program! I am telling you that it will change you! If you want to be pleasing to God...make sure you are handling His money and things correctly. This course will bless you. I guarantee it.

If you have any questions...please feel free to ask me! :) Also....if you have already taken this course, i would LOVE to hear your experience with it!

"Then [Jesus] said to them, 'Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.'" Luke 12:15

"I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of contentment in every situation, whether it be a full stomach or hunger, plenty or want; for I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me the strength and power." Philippians 4:12-13

Her First Sleepover!

M had her first sleepover last night at a friend's house. OK...not her FIRST sleepover because she has had lots of sleepovers at my parents' or my inlaws' houses etc. But this was her very first sleepover at a friend's house! We know and trust the parents...so we were totally good with it...but I was nervous that once night time fell...she would get scared not being somewhere familiar. But we never got a call last night so...I guess she is doing fine. I am going to pick her up later this afternoon. I look forward to hearing how it went....building forts, playing dolls, giggling and such. Oh the fun of being little again!
I am almost in tears though at the thought that my sweet baby girl is now 6 (and a HALF) and in school and having sleepovers. The time just flew by it seems. My boys are growing so fast too. You know, when I was a kid...the time seemed to drag on. LOL I felt like I was going to be a kid forever! But watching childhood from this vantage point makes it seem like it goes in the blink of an eye! I am really cherishing my children's young years! :)

OH~ Great grandma is all moved in to the home across the street and we went and visited with her. I reassured her that I am right across the street if she ever needs me. I will be visiting her often. I didn't stay long yesterday though because I had little J with me and there were other people there with her as well...and it just seemed to be really overwhelming for her....so I will go again here soon. Thanks so much for all the well wishes and shared happiness with me! :)

A Desire To Serve....accompanied by confusion...

I want to be as pleasing to God as I possibly can be. I know I falter in many ways...however...I have been trying and praying and doing the best i possibly can. However...I just feel so confused and unsure about things. I have read many blogs that say women should be dressed modestly. I agree. However....these blogs also say that even jeans are inappropriate! If I had a thin and petite body....I would be thrilled to wear dresses..but I do not..and I would honestly look ridiculous in a dress. I don't wear revealing clothing and I have always thought I dress modest enough. And now I cringe at the thought of displeasing God because I am not being "feminine" enough. I feel so confused.
I usually wear a pair of jeans and a shirt. I don't wear tight fitting clothes or skimpy things. I have always thought of this as being modestly dressed. I want the Lord to be pleased with me....and now I just am so not sure of what to do?
And then the whole homeschooling issue. I have prayed a lot about it and am still going back and forth on it! I just have NO idea what He wants us to do. I want to do what He wants....and I can't decide on which way is better?

I know that our Lord is not a God of confusion...but I just feel so lost on it all. So...if I may...I ask for prayer. I would like a clear head about all the things I feel so confused about and His guidance and direction on things. Thank you so much. I would really appreciate it.

Also...any input you have..i would love to hear. Thank you!!!

An Answer To Prayer!

My Great Grandmother (who is 93) was in a small care home that extended family owns. (So extended...I don't even know them...LOL) My sister has a pic of Grandma HERE. Well, this small care home was far away from all of us....making it hard to go visit her. (And we all LOVE her sooo much!) Our neighbors have a small personal care home right across the street from us. We love our neighbors. They are wonderful and their care home is GREAT! Well, they had an extra room and after much praying and convincing her son (my grandpa) that she needs to be up here closer to all of us...she is being moved!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOO! I am sooo happy!

She will be moving at the first of the month! I can't wait. She hasn't been eating while there and other stuff...and now, she will have visitors constantly and I bet she will eat....now that people who love her can be around her etc.
Another WONDERFUL thing about this is that it is a GREAT way to GLOW from my home! I plan on cooking/baking and taking it over to the ladies who are all there in the care home across the street. Visiting with grandma and all the other ladies will be so wonderful! I should already be going over now...even though grandma isn't there yet....just to show the other ladies some care and love in Christ! Just listening to their stories and things they want to talk about can really show them that you care! If you go to Monica's BLOG she talks about listening to people's stories!
I am so excited to use this as a way to GLOW for Christ! :) I want to encourage everyone who reads this to go to a care home near you somewhere....get to know the people. I know some of them are very lonely and just want to feel loved and cared about. What a great way to radiate Christ's love to those around us!

Menu Plan......Wednesday??

Yes, I know....alot of people participate in the Menu Plan Monday that is organized by the Org. Junkie (link on my sidebar). I, however, menu plan every 2 weeks starting on Wednesday. Chris has 2 jobs and gets paid for one of them every other Wednesday. So, I take $150 of that as cash from the bank and do our grocery shopping for 2 weeks. I menu plan 2 weeks ahead! It is really nice to do....it keeps you so much more organized plus...helps you save money when you go grocery shopping because you know just what you need. I write up my grocery list according to the menu plan!
First off, I want to show you a pic of my newly organized food cupboard. I was going to take a BEFORE pic...but the batteries for my camera were charging...so I couldn't....but here is the AFTER pic!
The white basket at the top holds different snack items that had big boxes....so i put them in there for better storage! Also...notice all the snack foods are up on the top shelf. That is on purpose....so my kids don't just take things without asking....LOL

Here is my new thing i just started. Normally I wrote all my daily menus in my daily planner.....at the bottom of each day. Well, I had this extra family calendar and decided to use it as my menu planner calendar instead! It works well. The columns are labeled at the top: MEAT, STARCH, VEGGIE, DESSERT, OTHER. I hung it inside the door of our food cupboard! That way when making my list up to go grocery shopping....I can look on the menu planner and see what i have in my cupboard all at the same time :) . It works nicely for us!!! I would love to hear what you all do to plan your meals!!! :)

Our first young women's fellowship meeting...

Well...I am thinking the YWF (Young Women's Fellowship) idea that I had talked about in THIS post is a go!!! :) I am so excited. I have so many ideas swirling around in my head. I was thinking about doing a pink/brown theme for our first meeting in February. (I hope i can get this all together by then...LOL) I got my latest issue of Country Living Magazine and on the cover were chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting....PERFECT! So I plan on making those....and maybe trying to find some cheap fabric to use for table cloths. I need lots more ideas.....so if you have any...please let me know. The only thing is that I think I will be paying for stuff out of my pocket...so i am trying to be as frugal and simple as possible while still making it super nice and creative...know what i mean?
As my sister had suggested, I may get a bunch of blank cards and we can all sit around and decorate them to send to people who are going through trials right now in there lives. Or...this meeting may just be an ice breaker type of meeting cuz not everyone in our age group really knows everyone else....and i want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy it. So...again..any ideas you have..please throw them at me and thank you in advance! :)

OH...and just have to throw this in...i redesigned my sister's blog for her. It isn't perfect...but I think it totally suits her and is cute! If you have time...check it out and let me know what you think!!! Also...take a look at the mittens she makes..she has an etsy shop! They are AWESOME! :) Hope you all have a GREAT day!!!

Praying

Do you have trouble praying in front of others? I used to. I used to feel unqualified and super uncomfortable praying out loud in front of anyone...including my hubby. I am an extrovert and chatty even..and i just felt completely out of place trying to pray with others.

However, lately, my relationship with God has been growing and getting stronger. At night, I actually lay in bed and pray aloud to Him. I really love praying out loud. When i first started, I felt weird and silly and then I realized that i am talking to my LORD! How awesome is that? We can have a direct talk with the Creator of the Earth!

Chris and I started at the New Year, doing devotions early in the morning together before the kids get up. We lay in bed together (bad breath and all...LOL) and one of us reads the devotion for the day and then we discuss it. Then the other person prays aloud. I realized praying and talking to God shouldn't be an embarrassing and scary thing to do in front of others. It is such a gift to be able to cry out and worship our Creator directly!

Now, I am not embarrassed to pray with anyone. It doesn't take certain qualifications or anything. It just takes a open and loving heart and spirit. I bring this up because I know it is something I have faltered with in the past and as we are on our mission to GLOW and show people Christ's love...there may be times when praying aloud with someone may be needed! I want to encourage you in your prayer time. First...during your own personal prayer time...speak out loud to him. You don't have to yell...but verbally speak to Him. If you don't already, pray aloud with your husband. This is such a wonderful thing to do together and I can't even explain to you how much it blesses Chris and I.

You CAN pray with someone aloud....just talk to God and praise Him and make your requests known to Him. He does listen..and He loves you! Keep reminding yourself of that! (I definitely have to remind myself of that often) Sometimes we are called to pray for someone...bring us out of our comfort zone and show our faith and obedience. So, if you feel God calling you to pray with someone or someone asks you to pray for and with them....you CAN do it!!!

I would love to hear about your feelings on this and if you need prayer....let me know! I will be more than glad to pray for you! Although, i can't be there to pray with you...be assured your name will be written in my prayer journal and prayed over. Blessings to you all! xoxo

Ways to GLOW

So, in thinking about how the Amish used the word JOY as an acronym, I decided maybe we could make GLOW into something similar. This is what I came up with:

Giving
Lights
Our
World

I think that sums it up. Giving of ourselves is a way to light up the world for Jesus! So...how can we do this? A few ideas I have come up with (and have as well as plan on implementing) are:

~ Sending letters/cards
~ Sending emails
~ Baking for our neighbors or people who don't bake for themselves
~ Shoveling snow/raking leaves/weeding gardens
~ Cooking a meal for a family with someone who is ill or just had a baby
~ Pray with someone
~ Sew/knit/create something for someone just to put a smile on their face
~ Just sit and talk with someone...sometimes people just need someone to listen

That is my list so far. I 100% plan on doing these things and starting up our young women's fellowship to do it as well. I totally plan on brightening days, putting smiles on faces and making as many people as possible feel loved by Jesus and us women who serve Him! As I do things, I will document it and try to share it with you! :)

I would love to hear any other ideas you all have. I want a variety of things so everyone who wants to GLOW can participate! Thanks so much in advance for any ideas you girls offer up! Blessings!

EDITED TO ADD:

Look at the beautiful button my friend, Mandie, made for me!!! Isn't it AWESOME??

Thank you so much Mandie!!! I love it! If you haven't yet...you totally need to check out her BLOG! It is fantastic!!!! Also...feel free to snag the button if you want to add it to a post or your blog somewhere!

Joy

I am reading the book Amish Grace: How Forgiveness Transcended Tragedy. It is a wonderful story about the shootings in an Amish Schoolhouse in Nickelmines, PA in October of 2006. I am sure you all remember that day. So tragic and sad....and yet...the Amish forgave. Such a loving spirit they have in their community!

So...as I am reading I come to a place where it says that an acronym that is posted in the Amish Schoolhouses is JOY. Jesus first, Others next, Yourself last. WOW!!!! I absolutely LOVE that! Isn't that just incredibly true?? I mean, I already try to do this in my life...but I just never put it together as JOY. But what a great way to remember when you are tempted to do something that is not pleasing to God...just think of JOY and hopefully it will help you make the right decision! Jesus ALWAYS is first. We must always think and put others before ourselves....and then us last. Maybe some of you have already heard that acronym before...but i hadn't and just thought it was lovely and I wanted to share!

If you are interested in reading a little about the Amish beliefs and how they differ from Evangelical Christians...you can go HERE. Well, i haven't finished the book yet...but I really am enjoying it. It is so touching and such a wonderful reminder of love and forgiveness. Has anyone else read this? I would love to hear your thoughts! :) I hope you have a blessed Tuesday!

Let's Glow, shall we?

**Before we discuss our Glowing for Jesus...I wanted to share this pic with you!
Don't I just have the cutest cowboys? heehee. I love this pic. X is in his chore clothes that he wore when he and daddy went out and fed the animals this morning..and J is still in his PJs...LOL.

Photobucket

**I REALLY want to make the Glow From Your Home idea into something. I think we could visit older folks in their homes or at a nursing home. Chat with them. Bake them cookies. Play games.
We could also send cards to people who are sick, feeling low or just anyone in general. Who doesn't like to know people are praying for them? :)

There are sooo many things we can do. I would love (if you girls want to) if you would all make a post and display the button on it....explain what it means to glow from your home for Jesus. And please link them back to my GLOW post! I would love to see what other people have to say and ideas and really get this globe radiating Christ's love!!!

Do you remember the Young Women's Fellowship i had talked about? Well, I plan on incooperating the Glow From Your Home Idea into that as well!!! Let's really reach out to those around us and let them see our love for them and for Jesus.

Matthew 25:34-40

"Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry, and ye fed Me: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took Me in: naked, and ye clothed Me: I was sick, and ye visited Me: I was in prison, and ye came unto Me. Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we Thee hungry, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave Thee drink? When saw we Thee a stranger, and took Thee in? or naked, and clothed Thee? Or when saw we Thee sick, or in prison, and came unto Thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me."

This is is what Jesus calls us to do. Reach out to others! Remember...what you do for others, you are doing for Him. So if you can..please post about this on your blog and let's get as many people glowing as we can and reaching out in Jesus' name!

Glow From Your Home!

This is a saying, common on Mary Engelbreit art, as well as on my prayer journal.

Bloom Where You're Planted!

I think this can really be a great quote for some of us stay at home moms. Let me elaborate! :) I used to think that since I was a SAHM that I couldn't touch the world for Jesus. I felt like I couldn't do all the wonderful things He wanted me to do. However, I looked up exactly what BLOOM means and here it is:

  1. To shine; glow.
  2. To grow or flourish with youth and vigor.
And I thought for a moment.....and realized I can glow right here at home...where I am planted. By being a wife and mother God wants me to be, by being a good friend to others, by participating in church and other activities .....I can shine for Him! Even by being at home, we can just set out a luminating glow from our household. We can still be a radiant witness for Christ! I also read the book (from my sister for Christmas) The Secret Life of Becky Miller. It's a really great book and helps us to realize that we CAN bloom where we are planted and still be pleasing to the Lord. Raising our kids to follow Him is one of the greatest jobs we have been given. What a blessing our kids are! :)

A way I try to glow from my home is sending cards out to people. Just totally random. Just a thinking of you/praying for you card. I send to whomever God lays on my heart. I feel this is one way He can use me.

What are some ways you "Glow from your home"? Can you imagine the effect it could have on unbelievers if we had more homes glowing consistently? If you feel like you can't touch others from your home....you are mistaken. I challenge you to recognize that God planted you where you are for a reason and never forget that. Please sign up on Mr.Linky and share with us how you Glow From Your Home! Also...please take a button to add to the sidebar of your blog so maybe we can get more people glowing for Him!

Prayer Journal

This is my prayer journal (a Mary Engelbreit one, of course LOL). I write in it the things I need to pray for each day so nothing or noone gets forgotten when I go to the Lord in prayer. It really is a valuable tool to keep you focused when praying (at least for me).

Two things I have been praying alot about lately are 1. a young women's fellowship and 2. to homeschool or not to homeschool.
First..at our church we have a Women's fellowship and we meet once a month and have snacks and do games or watch a christian movie or something like that. It is such a great time. But I felt the need (not sure whether to do a bible study with it or just a once a month fellowship time) to get the younger women of the church (like, ages 20-30) together in addition to the Women's fellowship that meets. I think it would be great for us to create relationships and better bonds between ladies of our own age group. I went to my aunt on Sunday (she helps head the women's fellowship) and asked what she thought about that...and she said it was funny i asked because at their last Women's Fellowship meeting they had been talking about something similar! So, I am praying about what God wants to do with this and what the best way to do it is.

And then the homeschool issue. My daughter, M, is the only one in school right now. She is in Kgarten and has a christian teacher and is doing great. The school is pretty small (she would probably have around 100 or so in her graduating class). But homeschooling has been on my heart lately. I don't know if it is God's leading or just my selfish human desire to try and do "the best thing" (in some people's opinion). I am so not sure what to do....so i have been in prayer about that. If I do homeschool....i would start next year. I was not homeschooled. I think there are pros and cons to both sides of it.....but anyway....i guess that is just why I am seeking God's will with it :).

Do any of you have a prayer journal? I know some people have handmade theirs. I like my Mary Engelbreit one though. LOL I would love to hear about or see any you all have...if you want. I hope you all have a fantastic Thursday!!! xoxo

My Latest WIP

Here is my lastest work in progress. It is a Mary Engelbreit cross stitch. I still have a whole other row of boxes to go along the bottom and a few on the left as well! I had started this a while back...but had Christmas gifts to get done....so I had put this aside. Now that Christmas is over...I have begun to work on it again! :) I am doing this one to put in my bathroom! You can see some pics of it HERE and here are a couple more recent ones:

My Home Organization Binder

So, i have seen many home binders over the internet...and I decided to make one of my own. (I covered our last name though on this pic for obvious reasons). This is where I keep my cleaning plans, meal planning ideas, important phone numbers (family, friends and emergency numbers), recipes for homemade cleaners, and such! I will make sections for Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving as well...to keep them organized and places to write down how we can focus on these holidays with values.....keeping Christ the center of each holiday! :)

Here are a few of the pics I took of it (i didn't take pics of the pages with phone numbers on them...again..for obvious reasons) I am still putting it together as it is a long process! I want to do a section for our budget as well....so we keep each months budget in there for a year so we can refer back to it, see what changes need to be made etc.

First, I started with verses. I printed this out from somewhere online...but all it is is Proverbs 31 (I actually need to do it over for myself and reprint it...but my printer is being difficult lately!) Sorry it is blurry...but you get the idea. You could make your own just by looking up Proverbs 31 in your bible! :)

Then there is a numerous page GRAND cleaning plan! I adapted it from one i found while searching the net. I would love to give credit to the original writer of it...but i can't find the site I got it from....everyone can make their own or find one on the net to adapt for your own home! This is a huge cleaning plan that basically covers every inch of your home.

Then I have my weekly cleaning plan. This helps me keep organized on when to get certain things done. When I am super busy..I don't always follow this to a T...but it is still nice to have an outline to follow when I can!

Then I made a page of homemade cleaners (I will be adding more to my list...homemade cleaners save money and are much better for the environment!) Gosh...I am soo not sure why my pics came out so blurry! Sorry!!

This is a home inventory list. I haven't really filled this out yet..but thought it was a good idea to have one! Then you know what you have...when you got it etc. You can keep warranty info or instruction books for your appliances etc in a folder in this section as well if you want!

Meal Planning! I am a huge supper planner. I plan our suppers 2 weeks in advance. This makes grocery shopping easy. Sometimes, though, i can't think of anything to make...so I made myself a list (that i will continually add to as i accumulate more recipes) of different supper options to choose from! I also put in this section a folder with different take out menus in there and a page of our favorite take out places phone numbers.....this makes them easily accessible when we need them! :)

These pages are from magazines. Cleaning, decorating ideas....stain removal tips etc. Just favorite pages of mine in some of my magazines! I got my idea from THIS blog. Of course, i did my a bit differently but the general idea came from her!

So those are some of my pages of my binder. This pic above though shows my planner. Some people incorporate their daily planner in their binder. I do not. I write my meals for each day in here, chores, bdays, appts, etc all in here! This is a planner i can take places with me and write things in etc. This is just my preference. The binder is big and bulky and i like it just being at home (keeping important info!). Also...HERE is a source for some home notebook printables and ideas. Also...if you google "organizational binder" or something similar...you will come up with a lot of great info!!!

So there you have it. I just wanted to share it with you! Do you have a home binder and/or planner? I would love to hear about it! What are some ways you keep organized?

Too much of a good thing?

So, as some of my faithful readers know, I am a fan of Mary Engelbreit stuff! I just love her art! It is so fun, creative and cute! Along with a lot of her artwork comes different quotes....and this is one of my favorites:

"Too much of a good thing is WONDERFUL!" ~Mae West

Of course, everytime i read this quote...i always think about how wonderful unlimited quantities of icecream would be! LOL Not so good for the waistline though. Then I decided to think about this spiritually. The only true good thing in this world is our Lord Jesus. His love for us, his sacrifice and his care for us. Too much of Him is never enough. Too much of him is wonderful! How truly blessed and loved are we that our God loved us sooo much that He gave His son for us....and Jesus died to save us that we may live eternally with Him in Heaven. What a wonderful Father we have! So....if I change that quote around a bit with how I see this quote spiritually....it would say:

"Too much of Jesus is Eternal!" ~Katy

Amen?
Hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday! I am grateful for everyone I have met and will meet in blogland!!! xoxo

Sew Happy!

Here is a pic of my sewing machine! Isn't it great?? I just love it..but have NO idea how to thread it at all. (notice the dust around it....showing signs of no use? LOL) I really want to learn how to sew clothes and curtains and much more! The possiblities are endless! My MIL's mom had a machine similar to mine...so she is going to come over and teach me how to thread it! :) I can't wait. I am so excited to make my first creation. Even if i mess it up....i am excited to try it out and practice! Do any of you sew? I would love to know what you have sewn. Also...any tips for a newbie sewer??
