Organic Housekeeping

I went to the library today. Gosh...how I love the library! Although...I need to go to some BIG libraries sometime....I need more books! Does anyone else feel that addiction to books when they go in the library? It's like I want to check out a dozen to read!
Anyway...while I was there I found At Home In Mitford by Jan Karon. I first heard about this book over at Monica's blog and have heard about it on a few other blogs as well....so I thought I would like to try and read it! My other great find was of the book I have pictured above, Organic Housekeeping by Ellen Sandbeck. From spots in it I have read so far...it seems great! It has solutions for cleaning, organizing, food safety, pet safety, and MORE!!!! I am so excited to dive into it a bit more! I hope to find a lot of info that I can add to my Home Companion Journal I have. More organic cleaning recipes....ways to organize better.....and more! :o) Off I go to read! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! xoxo

  6. I haven't been to the library in years! I used to take the kids there almost every week when they were young but then as they got older they wanted to go on their own and so I pretty much stopped going......I need to go now!!! I also think its great you are all out of debt!! How awesome is that!!! And I love the idea of a new source of heating, wish we could do that but it would take alot of money to convert everything, maybe someday!!! Hope your having a great weekend my friend!!~Wendy

  8. Thanks for the book tips Katy. I`ll have to look for organic housekeeping.Have you ever tried to make any other homemade cleaners besides laundry soap? I make glass cleaner and soft scrub. I also found that white vinegar and baking soda will get a drain unclogged most of the time as well.
Hope your having a wonderful weekend!!!

  14. Looks like a great book, Katy!

Yes, I too am a library addict. We bring home 50 books every 2 weeks. It is a good thing they limit us to 10 each or i'd probably borrow more.

  15. Thanks for sharing book recommendations. The Organic Housekeeping book looks fantastic. I'm always so focused on used book stores and thrift stores, that I have forgotten about the library! Thanks for the reminder :)
