The Egg Factory!!!

Wanna know what I have been doing today??

Washing eggs!!! Our 20 chickens are egg factories!!! They just keep popping them out...and if you miss a day of washing them...you get REALLY backed up!!! As you can see....I have a lot more to go....LOL:
I need to get them washed and to my inlaws' meat market though...cuz we sell them! Can't beat farm fresh eggs! (OK..so we dont' technically have a "farm"..but I can dream...right?) And....while I wash eggs....J is cruising...LOL!!! He just LOVES that car!!!

Thank you so much for all the prayers everyone! They really mean the world to me and I know Cory's friend, Mark and my hubby, Chris really appreciate them too! There is nothing more helpful than going to God! I thank you all!!! Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday! It is gorgeous out here!!! WOOT!!!! xoxo

UPDATED TO SAY: so far...I have washed 7 dozen eggs!!!! NO JOKE! LOL and i still have more to do....Ahahahahahaha!

  8. If you have chickens, you have a farm! I can just taste those yummy eggs. Have you ever tried feeding them sunflower seeds? The chickens that is! Those eggs are the best ever. Mmmmmmm....

Keep up the good work. If those chickens keep laying like that, you'll have that other school loan paid off before you know it! LOL

  10. Katy- we need to get together and invent an "egg washing machine"... maybe like a little mini-dishwasher.
It's funny how they look much more appetizing in the last pic than in the first one! LOL *BLECH*

  11. I love farm fresh eggs. We had 12 chickens when we first moved here (they all were killed by something or other one by one). I miss the eggs and I really hate paying for them - lol!

  12. I want chickens!!!!! I spent a summer in Northern Canada during my Bible School Days, and the people I stayed with had tons of chickens. Every day, I scrubbed eggs! At first, I broke a lot! Talk about egg on your face! But I got good at it, and fast!

And yes, fresh eggs are best!

  13. Oh how I wish we lived closer. I love fresh eggs! They taste so much better and bring back such great memories of being on my grandparents farm.

  14. I never wash mine till right before I have to use them...BUT...I also am not selling them! They do look awful sometimes, but I read they don't last as long if you wash them. Now that I think of it...maybe the dirty poopy stuff isn't good for them!

  15. Oh WOW!, that is alot of eggs ! I hope you sell lots, and lots. I had my very first "brown shelled & Fresh egg " last year. Yummy!! I don't know why my mind was playing tricks on me, but I was so used to the store bought white shelled eggs that I couldn't come to eat one.

My mom just built a chicken coop last weekend and ordered 25 chicks and they said hopefully a rooster will be in the mix. She is starting a mini farm I think, she's getting a cow next.
